Greenpeace Africa seeks an African National with an unshakeable commitment to its core values. The Executive Director will lead the newly-established Greenpeace Africa at the forefront of environmentalism to enhance its position as an active catalyst for positive responses to global environmental threats.

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for Greenpeace Africa
  • Overall accountability for policy, people and administration management
  • Oversee operations in South Africa, Democratic Republic of Congo and one West African country
  • Drive campaigns and fund raising initiatives
  • Spokesperson for Greenpeace Africa

Experience and Qualifications:

  • A tertiary degree (masters level or above)
  • Strong communication skills in English and French essential
  • A successful track record of inspirational leadership at a senior level within a complex International organisation (pref. NGO, activist, human rights or aid organisation)
  • A deep understanding of African and global politics and the ability to influence those in positions of commercial and political power.
  • Experience in developing strategic plans and long term financial and business policies
  • Substantial knowledge of campaigning and advocacy, and a strategic understanding of how to generate change.

GEEK SQUAD In-Store Computer / Electronic Technician

Geek Squad Agents will work in a fast paced retail environment performing computer-related installations and technical support. Although sales will not be your primary function, let’s just face it, when our customers spot a sharp technical mind dressed like an Agent, they can’t help but ask a few technology questions. Geek Squad Agents should have the ability to interact with customers while showing respect, courtesy and professionalism. Assist customers with service/repair issues within the Standard Operating Platform (SOP) of the Precinct. Provides the initial contact with customers, checks in product, and runs basic tests to determine product needs and service solutions. Facilitate the complete solution of product sales, upgrades, installations and service in the store. Is expected to personify and uphold the Geek Squad service standards.

Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) credential. Credentials must be validated through Microsoft certificates or pocket cards that are to be provided by the applicant. All Special Agents will be required to successfully obtain a Microsoft Certified Small Business Specialist (SBS) credential within 120 days of commencement of employment (Combines MCP Test #70-282 and an On-Line Sales and Marketing training and Quiz). Must pass the Special Agent Technical Assessment prior to hire. Must have a valid driver's license for the state and local area for which you are applying; must be willing to travel to customers' homes or businesses to perform the requested installations or repairs.
